You can start it online, on your own schedule, for a fraction of what the full course costs — study and save while you plan, then arrive at a school already ahead. Full flight training — private pilot

Lessons build toward your first solo, roughly the halfway point, then toward the checkride that makes you a certificated pilot. Part 61 is flexible and instructor-paced; Part 141 follows an FAA-approved syllabus with lower minimum hours — same certificate either way. Cost varies a lot by how often you fly, so talk to a school directly about real numbers.

Career track — become a professional pilot

Private pilot training gets you a licence to fly your own airplane. Career track is a different commitment: a structured, cohort-style path from zero experience toward a commercial certificate — sometimes with an instrument or instructor rating added — aimed at a paid seat in a cockpit, not a Saturday-afternoon flight. It costs more and takes longer, but it is the door that leads toward an airline or charter job. These schools run programmes, not single lessons booked one at a time.
